Going To a Party Party

Blogging Tunes: 1.fm Chillout Lounge

I promised myself I would blog today, so I guess I'm making good on that. If lying in bed at 8:15p on a Friday night and pecking away with two (sometimes three or four) fingers on my iPad counts. I am so thoroughly exhausted that can't even bring myself to go down to the garoffice to author something of substance on my computer.

This wasn't a particularly strenuous week, so why am I so tired? Maybe it's leftover from Tuesday when I woke up at 3:30a, couldn't get back to sleep, and wound up working from 4am. Maybe the mile I walked today was enough to put me over the edge. Maybe the two days I biked to the Ferry... oh wait, that was *last* week.

It's been a year to the day since I received 5.25 billion stem cells -- the source of my new immune system. yeP! today I'm 1. Happy birthday to me. There are lots of pics to share and stories to tell from the last few weeks -- esp from my trip to Florida -- but all that will have to wait.

The range of motion restriction and the joint and muscle pain in my hands, arms, shoulders -- my entire upper body -- isn't getting any better. In fact, it's a little worse. This is a bit scary since we upped my Tac dosage which was supposed to take care of this. Ah, maybe that's why I'm so tired. I've been on 0.4 Tac for a couple weeks now -- up from 0.35 and 0.3. That's a big increase.

Aight, I'm pooped. And my fingers hurt. Besides, Heather, RobM, and I are going to a show tomorrow night, so I need all the rest I can get.

Mellow bedtime kicks,

  1. Happy birthday!

I can related to the tiredness and insomnia, although it sounds like you have it worse than anything I've had to deal with so far.

What exactly is Tac? The Internet a lot of possibilities. My best guess is taxotere, adriamycin and cyclophosphamide; which seems more probable than tetracaine, adrenalin, and cocaine (which is the first wikipedia result in the medical section).

    1. Tac is Tacrolimus. Sorry, I hate the medical shorthand mumbo-jumbo too :)
